Melbourne Quarter is a next-generation commercial precinct redefining workplace design in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Spanning 2.5 hectares and valued at nearly $3 billion, the development delivers 150,000 m² of premium office space across three towers, brought to life by leading architects Denton Corker Marshall, Fender Katsalidis, Woods Bagot, Oculus and John Wardle Architects. -

The masterplan itself is a breakthrough in connectivity, stitching Melbourne’s historic Hoddle Grid to the Docklands waterfront and unlocking previously isolated areas to create a cohesive, walkable urban fabric. New pedestrian connections from the elevated Collins Street bridge through to Flinders Street accommodated approximately 10 metres of elevation change. Through this results a combination of regenerative landscapes, technical innovation, and strategic urban planning. Melbourne Quarter sets a new benchmark for mixed-use precincts, showing how contemporary development can elevate city life, enrich community and advance sustainability. -

For one week in March, Melbourne Quarter transformed into Melbourne’s most talked-about foodie hotspot. In collaboration with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Copenhagen’s Hart Bageri served its cult cardamom buns and exclusive creations from a vacant pavilion, attracting over 2,500 visitors from across the country. Lines snaked around the precinct, media dubbed it the “hit of the festival”, and social platforms exploded with user-generated content.

This recognition celebrates the innovative use of modular steel framing and off-site construction techniques that enable safe, efficient delivery of Melbourne Quarter Tower's striking pitched roof and plantroom structures. The award highlights the collaborative effort of ArcStructural, Lendlease, Woods Bagot, AECOM, and partners in overcoming the complexities of building at height while achieving excellence in design, safety, and sustainability.

The award celebrates the innovative design of Melbourne Quarter Tower's Sargon, from Project Architect and Design Lead, Christina Kotsiris. The kiosk redefines the concept of a lobby café by seamlessly blending elegance, functionality, and sustainability - supporting local craftsmanship, energy-efficient systems, and a 6 Star Green Star target for the building.
