MELBOURNE QUARTER LAUNCHES PODCAST WITH SPECIAL GUESTS TO FEATURE IN EACH EPISODE

Explore topical issues, get to know the people and stories that grace this bustling CBD precinct, and delve behind the scenes at Melbourne Quarter.

Melbourne Quarter has launched it’s very first podcast, with it’s first conversation in line with National Reconciliation Week featuring special guests Lena Charles (Yorta Yorta) from Clothing the Gaps and Shannon Williams (Yiman) aka BrothaBlack. We hear how First Nations' fashion label, Clothing the Gaps has united people through fashion, the challenges encountered along the way, and their vision for the future. “At Clothing the Gaps, a lot of people know us for being creative through a fashion label. It is a really exciting time.. a few years ago we weren’t putting important messaging on our clothes and using that as an expression but it gets people thinking about what they want to wear and the purpose behind it… it’s getting people to think about the why when they choose what to wear.” – Lena Charles.

We welcome Clothing the Gaps as special guests of Melbourne Quarter’s first pop up market stall for National Reconciliation Week 2022 and thought it was fitting to put the spotlight on such an impactful Aboriginal social enterprise in Melbourne Quarter’s podcast debut.
