PEDDLER ESPRESSO AND SERGY BOY OPEN AT MELBOURNE QUARTER

Cosmopolitan coffee experts Peddler Espresso and Sergy Boy have opened their doors to Melbourne’s coffee connoisseurs, pushing straight to the top of the city’s café scene.

Located in One Melbourne Quarter’s lobby, Peddler Espresso comes from the creators of the popular Kitty Burns café in Abbotsford, serving blends from The Bean Cartel and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options.

Peddler’s fitout was designed by architects Woods Bagot to create a beautiful space that capitalises on an abundance of natural light, featuring signature ruby-red Rosso Levanto Italian marble countertops.

Sourcing all their produce including cheeses and meats from the famous Emerald Hill Deli in South Melbourne, owner Andrew Savvas said Peddler has a premium European-inspired food offering.

“Our vision is to be a beautiful European-style espresso offering some of Melbourne's most premium products. For us, it’s the attention to detail in our service which is reflected in all we do,” he said.

“Some of our most popular breakfast classics include sopressa salami and provolone croissants and crispy bacon, blackberry jam, gruyere cheese and jalapeños toasted sandwiches.”

Sergy Boy comes from the dynamic team behind hospitality spots Urban Deli, Buddabah and Sargon House of Coffee. With a Christina Kotsiris designed fitout, Sergy Boy is a multi-experiential café bar offering a boutique, specialist coffee experience.

Both cafés are located below Melbourne’s newest Sky Park above Collins Street with permanent outdoor seating and direct lift and street access from Collins Street’s ground floor.

Project Director for Melbourne Quarter, Brian Herlihy, said One Melbourne Quarter will welcome new retailers to the precinct in the coming months, including Home Pressed Juice and sandwich and salad bar Bluebag. Once completed, the precinct will be home to approximately 40 new food, beverage and lifestyle retailers.

“Delivering vibrant food and beverage offerings on Collins Street is one of the most exciting elements of our new precinct’s transformation, creating a new place for workers and locals to visit, relax and unwind in,” he said.
